Hello! My name is Danielle and I'm the owner, designer, and craftsman behind Sungold Woodworks, a women-operated business located right here in Whatcom County, Washington.

From Corporate Life to Local Craftsmanship:
I started this business after leaving a corporate job to raise my two young boys, who often "help" me with the garden boxes! I'm married to my wonderful husband, whose support helps make all this possible. While my daily routine has changed, my roots in the timber industry run deep.

Family Heritage: I grew up immersed in the world of wood. Both of my grandfathers worked in the logging industry, and my parents own a local sawmilling business.

The Spark: Sungold Woodworks was born out of a personal project. When storm-damaged "danger trees" had to be removed from my own yard, my parents helped me mill the salvaged wood. That project ignited the idea, and now I specialize in building custom garden boxes.
Today, I proudly blend family tradition and quality craftsmanship to create durable, beautiful garden solutions, all made from locally sourced materials.
